Get Your Mind Right

But it ain’t what you cop, it’s about what you keep

Lauren Hill, The Final Hour

I did most of my growing up in the 80’s and 90’s.  That is about when “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” made its debut and MTV “Cribs” was giving us a glimpse into the (alleged) good life.  Now that  I have had a chance to see how the story ends for some of those folks, it is clear that money doesn’t by happiness.  If you aren’t happy, you are not a baller.

Baller is not a specific amount in your checking account, or the size of your home. It’s developing the skills, attitudes, and behaviors you need to get there.

Truth:

Income – Expenses = Money Available To Create a Better Life.

A Zero at the end of the equation is still a Zero regardless of the Income you started with.

What do you value?  Do you want to be able to make choices about where you work and where you live?  Can you defer gratification or can you not stand to go without the nails, the new putter, the sweet ride?  How you answer those questions determines whether you are Broke or a Baller.  Be a Baller.

Do you recognize yourself in either description?  Whether you make enough money but think you should have more to show for it or you have the right mindset, but just need to get some insight on how to get to the next level, let’s talk.
